Dr. Deborah Dedering, our Co-Chief of Staff, first joined Sheboygan Animal Hospital in 2000. Dr. Dedering did her undergraduate work at University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, and went on to earn her DVM from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1995. For nearly two decades, she cared for the pets of our community before spending two years in general practice in the Cedarburg area. A Sheboygan native, Dr. Dedering returned to our team in 2022. Her professional interests include feline medicine, preventive care, and client education.

Over the years, Dr. Dedering’s home has welcomed a wide variety of pets—cats, guinea pigs, a rabbit, and dogs of many breeds including Newfoundlands, Irish Wolfhounds, a Mastiff, a Shih Tzu, an English Cocker Spaniel, and a Beagle. Today, she shares her home with one cat, Pumpkin.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Dedering enjoys reading, birdwatching, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her son, daughter, son-in-law and grandson.
